Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
1. Overview
Spotify.Downloaderize.com is designed with privacy as a core principle. The Service does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personal information. The vast majority of users interact with the Service anonymously. This policy describes the limited technical data that is incidentally collected when you visit or use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to operate and improve the Service. The types of data involved are:
| Data Type | What It Is | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Server Logs | IP address, browser user-agent, request timestamp, referring URL | Security monitoring, error diagnosis, abuse prevention |
| Spotify URLs | The URL you submit for conversion | Processing your download request; not stored after processing |
| Local Storage | Your theme preference (dark/light mode) and a random visitor ID | Remembering your UI preference, and counting visits without identifying you |
| Usage Analytics | Pages viewed, time on page, searches run, downloads started and completed, whether an ad blocker was detected | Understanding how the Service is used so we can fix what is broken and improve it |
Our analytics are first-party and self-hosted: the data described above is sent only to our own servers and is never shared with an external analytics provider. We do not store your IP address alongside this usage data, we do not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting, and we do not track you across other websites. The visitor ID is a random string generated in your browser; it tells us that two visits came from the same browser, and nothing else about you.
To pace the short video ads that keep downloads free, we count how many tracks are downloaded from each IP address. We store only a one-way hash of the IP address (it cannot be turned back into the address) together with that count, and we delete it after 24 hours without downloads.
We do not collect your name, email address, payment information, or any other personally identifying information. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and nothing to buy.
3. How We Use Information
Information collected is used solely to:
- Process and fulfil your conversion and download requests in real time.
- Maintain the security, integrity, and availability of the Service.
- Diagnose technical errors and prevent abuse or misuse of the platform.
- Comply with legal obligations, including responding to valid legal requests.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not build user profiles or engage in any form of behavioural advertising.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
Spotify.Downloaderize.com does not set advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies of its own. We use localStorage and sessionStorage in your browser for the following:
| Key | What It Stores |
|---|---|
theme | Whether you selected dark or light mode. |
sd_vid | A random visitor ID, so we can count unique visitors and repeat visits. It contains no personal data and is not linked to your identity. |
sd_sid | A random ID for the current browser tab, used to measure how long a visit lasts. It is discarded when you close the tab. |
Unlike the theme preference, the visitor and session IDs are sent to our own servers along with the usage events described in Section 2. They are not sent to any third party.
Google AdSense serves the advertising on this site and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy; see Section 5. You can clear all of the above at any time through your browser's site data settings. Clearing it will reset the site to its default mode and cause your next visit to be counted as a new one.
5. Third-Party Services and APIs
The Service integrates with the following third-party services to function:
- Spotify Web API: used to search for tracks and retrieve track metadata (title, artwork, artist). Spotify may log API requests in accordance with their own privacy policy. No personal data from you is transmitted to Spotify.
- RapidAPI / Audio Conversion Service: used to convert Spotify tracks into downloadable MP3 files. When you click download, the Spotify link of that track is sent to this service, which returns a download link. Your browser then downloads the MP3 directly from the conversion service's servers, so that service receives your IP address and browser details, as any website you download from does.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: a privacy-friendly check that confirms a download request comes from a person, not a bot. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details for this check, under its own privacy policy.
- Google Ad Manager: after some downloads we may offer an optional short video ad, served by Google Ad Manager. Google may use cookies and your IP address to deliver and measure that ad, under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Fonts: used to load the Plus Jakarta Sans, DM Sans, and Space Mono typefaces. Google may collect IP address data when fonts are loaded. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
These third parties operate independently and under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their data practices.
6. Data Retention and Security
We do not persistently store the Spotify URLs you submit, the audio files generated, or any conversion history. Audio files never pass through our servers: the conversion service delivers them straight to your browser. To avoid converting the same track twice, we may keep a track's download link for up to 20 minutes.
Server access logs may be retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes, after which they are automatically purged. These logs contain only technical request metadata (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) and not the content of your requests.
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any data we do process against unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data under laws such as the GDPR (European Union), UK GDPR, CCPA (California), or other applicable legislation. These rights may include:
- The right to access data we hold about you.
- The right to request correction or deletion of your data.
- The right to object to or restrict processing of your data.
- The right to data portability.
Because we collect minimal data and do not maintain user accounts, most requests can be addressed simply by clearing your local browser data. For any other requests or questions about your rights, please contact us using the details below.
9. International Data Transfers
Our servers and third-party service providers may be located in countries outside your own. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of limited technical data (such as server logs) to these locations. We take reasonable steps to ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
